  ...The Moon... This is Earth's only natural satellite. Between planet and moon's distance is 384,000 kilometers. This is small than Earth. Like 1/4 size. It has a big effect on our planet. This is goes through different ways like new  moon, crescent, half moon, and full moon. This happens because of the moon's position relative to Sun and Earth. People have used to measure moon to fix dates, times. It has no air, water, or life. But people tried to go to this. The first human landing on the moon was in 1969. Neil Armstrong became the first person to walk on it.   ...The Story of the Sun... The Sun is a huge, glowing ball of the center of our solar system. It is made of hydrogen and helium. So that's why this is shine and gives energy to the Earth. This is really very important thing for life on Earth. It is help to plants grow, warms the planet, and keep the weather and oceans moving. These are just few things.   ...Ella Rock... Ella Rock is one of the most epic hiking spot in Sri Lanka. It is located near the town of Ella . This is really very attraction place in Sri Lanka. When some one hike this place, it is usually take  2 or 3 hours. There are surrounding valleys, hills, and the famous Nine Arches Bridge can to see. This area is especially beautiful during sunrise or early morning. and also mist rise. This place is popular among adventure seekers, photographers, and nature  lovers.   ...Diyaluma Falls... This is the second tallest waterfall in Sri Lanka. It is located in the Badulla district. The height is 220 meters. The waterfall flows down in several steps. It is creating a beautiful view. One of the most special things about Diyaluma Falls is the top area. So many visitors are coming to relax their mind and have fun. The best time to visit is during the dry season, because the water is very calm and safe.   ...Knuckles Mountain Range...  It is a special mountain area in Sri Lanka. It has many peaks, forests, rivers, and waterfalls. These are creating this place more peaceful environment. The name " Knuckles" comes from it's shape, Which looks like the knuckles of a first seen from the distance. This area has different types of climates.   ...Sinharaja Forest Reserve... Sinharaja Forest Reserve is the largest and most important rainforest in Sri Lanka. It is very special because it is full of different plant and animals. The forest is very thick, wet, and green. To reason for it, always gets a lot of rain throughout the year. There are very big trees. They grow close together. because of that sunlight hardly reach the ground. So that, the forest has a cool and quiet environment. Sinharaja is home to many rare animal such as the Sri Lanka Blue Magpie, Purple face langur monkey, snakes, frogs, and many kind of butterflies. This is also  one of the best places in Sri Lanka to watch birds. To protect this valuable ecosystem, the forest is recognized as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO .   ...Sigiriya Rock Fortress... This is one of most famous historical places in Sri Lanka. It's a huge rock. It is also once used as a royal palace by king Kashyapa . The rock is about 200 meters high, and the king choose it because it was easy to defend from enemies. There are beautiful planed gardens with water fountains. these gardens are among the oldest landscaped garden in the world. Sigiriya is special because it shows advanced engineering, art.   ...Aurora Borealis... It is a beautiful natural light display seen in the night skies. This is also called as Northern Lights . It is mostly near the Arctic ( North Pole ). It looks like glowing waves, curtains, ribbons. There are so many colors. Like green, pink, purple, and sometimes red. This can see usually Norway, Iceland, Canada, Alaska.   ...Colosseum... This is a very huge stadium in the city of Rome . It was built 2,000 years ago by Romans. This was used for public events such as gladiator fights, animal shows, and other entertainment. People come to watch these battles and shows. These underground areas were used to hold animals, props, and gladiators before they appeared in the arena. This could hold about 50,000 spectators . It is made mainly of stone and concrete.   ...Taj mahal... The Taj Mahal is one of the most famous and beautiful buildings in the world. This is located in India . It was built in between 1632 and 1653 . It created by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan to his wife Mumtaz Mahal . It is so beautiful. That building created of shining white marble. So that can change the color on the time, like pink in the morning, white during the day, and golden in the evening. The Taj Mahal is designed like mirror. It's mean both sides look the same. It has a large central dome, four tall towers, and beautiful gardens with water channels. There are different artists from different regions who made this building. Today, it is a UNESCO World Heritage site and attracts millions of visitors.   ...Machu Picchu... It is an ancient city created by Inca people. It is located high in the Andes Mountains of Peru. It is 2,400 meters above sea level. That time the king was Pachacuti. The city was carefully planned with stone houses, temples. The Incas were very skilled builders. They cut stones so precisely and the buildings are fit together without cement. Many structures are still standing today. Machu Picchu also had a smart water system to bring fresh water into the city. No one knows exactly why the city was abandoned. But it may be because of Spanish people's arrival. This was brought to world attention in 1911 by Hiram Bingham .   ...The Great Wall of China... This is a very long wall built in ancient China to protect the country from enemies. It is not built all at once, It built by over many years and by different workers. There are some parts, that old more than 2,000 years old. The wall stretches for over 20,000 kilometers and goes across mountains. The wall was made using materials like stones, woods. In the past soldiers stayed along to watch for danger, and they used some signals to inform about danger things, like smoke during day and fire at night. But in the present this is not use for protection. But it is an important and historical site. Many people visit it every year to learn about China's history and enjoy the beautiful views.   ...Amazon Rainforest... This is the largest rainforest in the world. It is located in South America. This is really very huge thing. It covers several countries, including Brazil, Peru and Colombia. This forest is full of life, with millions of different plants, animals and insects living there. This is called as " lungs of the Earth". Because it is produces large amount of oxygen and help to control the global climate. It gets a lot of rain. Because of this many plants grow very tall and thick. Sunlight does not always reach the ground because the trees are so high. It is home to so many animals like monkeys, snakes, birds. It is located in the United States.   This is very large and deep valley. this canyon is about 446km long, up to 29km wide and over 1.6km deep. This rocks are show different colors. Like red, orange and brown. The weather there can be very hot in summer and cold in winter. Many people visit this place every year to enjoy the amazing view, take photos, go hiking.  ...Dead Sea...          This is a very special salt lake located between Jordan and Israel. It is called the " dead sea " because most plants and animals cannot live in it's water due to the very high salt level. The water of the Dead Sea is about 10 times saltier than normal ocean water. Because of this, people can easily float on the surface without sinking. The Dead Sea is also one of the lowest places on Earth. Many tourists visit this place  to experience floating on the water and because mineral mud they believed to be good for the skin. Another interesting fact is the Dead Sea is slowly getting smaller every year because less water is flowing into it from the Jordan River. It stretches for more than 2,300 kilometers and is made up of thousands of individual reefs and hundreds of islands. The reef is home to marine life, including colorful fish, sea turtles, sharks and many types of coral. Because of it's natural beauty and rich biodiversity, it is considered one of the most important natural wonders of the world and is protected as a UNESCO World Heritage site.   Sagarmatha... Mount Everest call as Sagarmatha in Nepal and in Tibet it is called Chomolungma. This is the highest mountain in the world. it is located in the Himalayas between Nepal and Tibet . Mount Everest is about 8,848 meters high. Many climbers travel from different countries to try to reach its summit. Climbing Mount Everest is very difficult because of the cold weather, strong winds and thin air. But it is look really very beautiful and majestic. Right now, some people it was possible to reach this mount.
